Laundry Liquid Soap

The Olive Leaf Skin Care Laundry Liquid is an exceptionally well-balanced, high-performance eco-detergent. While many natural laundry products rely solely on basic soap, this formula successfully bridges the gap between green ingredients and modern cleaning chemistry. It utilises hard-water softeners, targeted stain-lifting enzymes, and dual surfactants to deliver a deep clean without harsh synthetic residues.

Sodium Carbonate (Washing Soda): This is a powerful alkalinity builder. It softens hard water, binds to mineral deposits, and raises the pH of the wash water. This high pH environment opens up fabric fibres, allowing dirt, grease, and sweat to be released easily.
Sodium Percarbonate: This acts as a safe, colour-safe oxygen bleach. When it hits the wash water, it breaks down into hydrogen peroxide and sodium carbonate. This provides excellent destaining power, brightens dull whites, and sanitises fabrics without the fibre-degrading harshness of chlorine bleach.
The Surfactant Duo (Anionic & Non-ionic): This is the gold standard for modern eco-detergents. Anionic surfactants carry a negative charge and excel at lifting away mud, clay, and ground-in dirt. Non-ionic surfactants have no charge and are highly effective at breaking down oily foods, sebum, and body oils. Together, they suspend dirt in the water so it washes away instead of settling back onto your clothes.
Enzymes: These are highly specific biological catalysts. They target and chemically break down stubborn organic stains (like blood, grass, chocolate, and proteins) that standard soaps cannot shift.

Fresh Scent (Fragrance Free) Orange, Lemon & Lavender Essential Oils: This blend offers a brilliant dual benefit. Citrus oils (Orange and Lemon) contain natural limonene, which acts as a powerful grease solvent to assist the surfactants. Lavender adds a calming, fresh note.
Zero Synthetic Load: By omitting optical brighteners (which coat fabrics in a chemical film to trick the eye into seeing "whiter" whites), synthetic fragrances, and artificial dyes, this liquid is highly biodegradable and excellent for graywater or septic tank systems.

PRACTICAL APPLICATION
Scent Retention: Because it uses pure essential oils instead of synthetic fragrance fixatives, the bright citrus and lavender scent will mostly evaporate during the rinse and drying cycles. Your laundry will smell clean and neutral rather than heavily perfumed.
Temperature Sensitivity: Because the formula utilises Sodium Percarbonate and active enzymes, it will perform at its absolute best in warm to hot washes (40°C to 60°C). In ice-cold water, the oxygen bleach takes much longer to activate and dissolve completely.
