Insect Repellent
The Olive Leaf Skin Care Bug Spray is a highly complex, heavy-hitting botanical repellent. This bug spray functions as a comprehensive insect deterrent. It achieves this by combining multiple distinct essential oil pathways to overwhelm and confuse insect senses.
300ml spray bottle
Instead of relying on a single active chemical, this blend targets bugs through three distinct botanical mechanisms:
The Heavy Masks (Lemongrass & Lippia): Insects find hosts by tracking carbon dioxide and skin odors. Lemongrass and Lippia (Lippia javanica, traditionally known as Fever Tea in South Africa) release strong citral compounds that mask human scent signatures, rendering you "invisible" to mosquitoes.
The Scent Blockers & Neuro-Irritants (Peppermint, Eucalyptus, Rosemary, Lavender): High menthol, eucalyptol, and camphor levels disrupt the heat and chemical receptors of insects. Peppermint and Eucalyptus provide an immediate cooling sensation on the skin, which helps soothe any existing bites.
The Long-Lasting Deterrents (Neem, Clove, Tea Tree): Neem is a globally recognized, natural insecticide that alters bug behavior and feeding patterns. Clove contains high levels of eugenol, an incredibly potent natural insect repellent. These denser oils evaporate much slower than citrus, providing prolonged protection.
Reapplication is Mandatory: Because natural oils evaporate under body heat and wind, this spray will not last for 8 hours like chemical DEET formulas. Reapply every 1.5 to 2 hours for continuous outdoor protection.
Shake Well: Just like the room mist, the absence of synthetic emulsifiers means the Neem and essential oils will float to the top over time. Shake vigorously before every application to ensure efficacy.
Purified Water, Alcohol (Ethanol 96%) and Pure Essential Oils of Peppermint, Clove, Eucyluptus, tea tree, rosemary, lavender, neem, lemon grass and lippia
